Machining Capabilities

Horizontal CNC Turning

  • Five (5) Okuma LB45-II/1000 Slant-bed Turning Centers: 25.98" maximum turning diameter, 41.73" distance between centers, OSP 7000L Controls with interactive graphics function, 12 – 2800 spindle rpm, programmable and manual tailstocks with 4.030" bore through spindle. Maximum recommended allowable weight for chucking works 1,102 lbs and for shaft work 3,307 lbs.
  • Two (2) Okuma LB-45-II/2000 (Long bed) Slant-bed Turning Centers: 25.98" x 80" OSP 7000 Control with interactive graphics function and 12-2800 rpm.
  • Two (2) Okuma LU-45 four axis lathe, 22 tool stations, 2 independent saddles, live quil tailstock, tool wear compensation, load monitor, and four power ranges. Maximum turning diameter XA:25.59", XB: 18.11", Maximum recommended work length: 39.37".
  • Okuma Captain L-470 Turning Center 14.57" x 19.685" OSP E100L control with interactive graphics function and 4500 spindle rpm.
  • Okuma L1420 Turning Center: 14.17" x 49.6" OSP U10L control with interactive graphics function and 3500 spindle rpm.
  • Okuma model LB25 Slant-bed Turning Center: 14.25" x 26" OSP 5020L control with interactive graphics function, 2800 spindle rpm, and 3.75" bore through spindle.
  • Okuma model ES-L10 Slant-bed Turning Center: 12.20" x 19.68" OSP U-10 control with interactive graphics function, 3,000 spindle rpm, and 2.75" bore through spindle.
  • Okuma LB-4000 EX-1500 big bore with 15" hydraulic chuck, live tail stock and OSP-P200L controls. Maximum turning diameter 18.9" and maximum work length 59.06".
  • Okuma LB-4000 EX-750 big bore with 15" hydraulic chuck, live tail stock, and OSP-P200L controls. Maximum turning diameter 18.9" and maximum work length 29.53".

CNC Machining Centers

  • Okuma MA-600 Horizontal Machining Center: 39.37" x 35.43" x 39.37" machining envelope, 24.8" x 24.8" pallets, high pressure coolant, B-axis, Renishaw auto gauging, and tool breakage detection.
  • Mori Seiki Vertical Machining Center model MV-65B, 4 axis, Fanuc MF-M6 control and 4000 spindle rpm. Envelope = 60" X axis travel, 25.6" Y axis travel, and 25.6" Z axis travel.
  • Okuma Crown 4018 Machining Center with OSP U10M control, 8,000 spindle rpm, and through the spindle coolant. 40" in X, 18.1" in Y, and 17.7" in Z working range.

Vertical CNC Turning (VTLs)

Two (2) Okuma V100 VTLs with hydraulic chucks, 13 – 1250 rpms, a maximum turning diameter of 40" and a maximum turning height of 35".

Grinding

  • Toyoda Model GE-4P-150 CNC Grinder with flagging system and 2 point steady rest, 59" length x .4" up to 11.8" diameter.
  • Landis 10" x 72" Plain Cylindrical Grinder
  • Landis 30" x 48" Plain Cylindrical Grinder
  • Landis 14" x 72" Plain Cylindrical Grinder

Manual Turning

  • American Turnmaster 17" x 60" Engine Lathe
  • Toolmex model TUR-560 18" x 96" Engine Lathe
  • Monarch 10" x 20" Precision Tool room Engine Lathe, model 10EE
  • Warner & Swasey 4A model M1500 Turret Lathe with steady rest, extended bed, power feed compound, cross sliding turret, 22" swing, 96" between centers, 8" hole through spindle.

Manual Milling

  • Kearney & Trecker No. 4 model 430-TF-20 Vertical Milling Machine, with digital readout.
  • Lagun 9" x 42" Knee Mill, model FTV-25, with digital readout

Honing

  • Sunnen model HL 80 Precision Horizontal Hone, 23" diameter x 60" stroke
  • Sunnen model MBC-1805 Hone with auto sizing and power stroke .060 to 6" diameter capacity

Sawing

  • Hyd-Mech model H-12A automatic cut off saw, with programmable length control. Capacity round: 12" diameter, square: 12" x 12" with full capacity bundling.
  • Hyd-Mech model H-14A automatic cut off saw, with programmable length control. Capacity round: 14" diameter, square: 14" x 14" with full capacity bundling.

Thread Rolling

  • Tesker Model 320 two die thread roller, 2.5" capacity with adjustable 80,000 lbs of rolling pressure
  • Warner & Swasey 1A model M3400 Turret Lathe with single axial thread rolling heads, 3" hole through spindle, Fette axial type thread rolling heads.
    • Model FU 5-1: ¾" – 1.5" maximum capacity
    • Model FU 56-1: 7/8" – 2" maximum capacity
    • Model FU6700-1, 1.75" – 2.75" maximum capacity
