CNC Grinding
Our OD grinding can generate excellent surface finishes down to a 6 - 8 Ra and/or maintain tolerances down to +/- .0002". (Heartland's turning capabilities allow us to achieve 32 Ra surface finishes and maintain +/- .001" tolerance without grinding)
Our Toyoda model GE-4P-150 CNC grinder can handle parts within a work envelope up to 59" in length and 11.8" in diameter. We also have manual Landis grinders that can machine 10" diameter X 72" length, 14" diameter x 72" lengths, and 30" diameters X 48" lengths. The Toyoda CNC grinder has automated repeatability, in process gauging, and diamond dressing cycles to ensure results are of consistent quality, cylindrical, and uniform in size.
Heartland has extensive experience grinding rods, shafts, and cylinder liners.
